Emergency treatment process for sharp injury(reference)
Emergency treatment of minor sharp injury
1. Squeeze out the blood around the wound immediately as much as possible;
2. Rinse with running water for 2-3 minutes, then wash with soapy water, and then rinse with clean water. Local squeezing of the wound is prohibited;
3. For disinfection, it is recommended to use 75% ethanol or 0.5% iodophor for disinfection;
4. Then bandage the wound;
5. Go to the nearest hospital for inquiry processing;
6. Follow the doctor's advice.
Treatment of general stab wounds
1. Wash your hands and clean the wound with clean water;
2. Put on a disinfectant, such as hydrogen peroxide and iodophor. Disinfectants or anti-inflammatory drugs can harm the wound tissue, so use it carefully;
3. Cover with sterile gauze, bandage.
Emergency treatment of severe stab wounds
1. Stop bleeding. Hold the wound directly with clean gauze, handkerchief or towel, and then forcefully wrap the wound. This can temporarily ease the bleeding.
2. Hemostatic point finger pressure. The so-called hemostasis point is the arterial point near the bleeding wound. Find the hemostasis point and hold it firmly so that the blood flowing out of the heart cannot flow smoothly to the wound, reducing the amount of bleeding.
3. Tourniquet hemostasis. When severe blood flow does not stop, tie the hemostatic point with a cloth strip, triangle scarf or rope and tie it tightly; loosen it slightly every fifteen minutes to avoid tissue necrosis. It is best to send a doctor for emergency treatment within forty minutes.
